Title: Fragments
Author: whisp
Summary:

The Starbucks just off 7th Ave and 1st St was pretty typical fare. Open 5:30-11pm, 7 days a week, it was packed full of semi-awake, caffeine deprived customers at any given time.

Having worked there almost a year now, Phil was pretty sure he’d seen everything.

He was wrong.

Pairing: Clint Barton/Phil Coulson
Warnings: Violence, Explicit Language
Notes:

The obligatory fix-it. Barista and amnesiac remix. I'm aiming high here people!

N.B. - Retrograde amnesia is rather rare, especially to this extreme and completely unlikely to happen in an injury like the one Phil sustained. Please forgive my indulgence.

Title: Say You‘ll Wait (You‘ll Wait for Me)
Author: Whisp
Fandom/Genre: Supernatural (the Pushing Daisies remix)
Pairing(s): None
Rating: Teen
Word Count: 12,500
Warnings: Spoilers up to season five of Supernatural. As long as you know the basic premise of Pushing Daisies, you‘ll be ok. Major character death (It‘s PD, what do you expect?), strong language

Summary:

Two years ago, Dean discovered the ability to bring back the dead in the tiny, abandoned town of Cold Oak to unforseen consequences. Now an increasingly anti-social and withdrawn Dean is forced to use this ability once more, this time, to bring back an Angel named Castiel. Together, faced with renegade Angels, angry spirits, and the talking dead, Dean and Cas relearn what it means to be human.

Excerpt:

The revival of the Angel happened just like the first time and every time since, the briefest touch of Dean’s finger brought a wave of warmth and life flooding over Castiel’s body.

Castiel gasped awake. His hands flew to his throat where the fatal blow had landed and where a 4 point star now rests neatly on the hollow of his throat.

Rapidly, he took in the situation, eyes searching out Dean’s, wide in horror. “What have you done?”

(Pushing Daisies/Supernatural fusion.)

Written for the deancasbigbang, this story started as a handful of sentences scribbled on a prescription pad almost 4 years ago. This challenge finally gave me the incentive to dust it off and finish it. Thanks to the mods for being so organized, friendly, and supportive!

Title: Gradient Descent
Author: whisp
Summary:
When Clint was a kid, he rotated through a series of foster homes. Even at 6 years old, he knew that every placement was an elaborate game of illusions. Every smiling family poised, waiting for the moment he screwed up and the carpet got yanked out from under him again.

Now at 25, long past the time he thought himself too old for the game, Clint abruptly finds reality yanked out from underneath him and try as he might, there’s no secure footing to be found.

Please note: Clint goes through some serious issues. Read the warnings.

Pairing: Clint Barton/Phil Coulson
Warnings: Graphic torture, serious mental illness, language, hurt/comfort, will become nc-17 later on.

This fic requires more of a disclaimer than I usually give. The main character will be dealing with a major mental illness (I would prefer not to give it away, but if you'd like to know what illness it is before reading, please PM me). I am in no way trying to romanticize/make light of this illness. It is a very serious disorder. The way it is portrayed in this fic is in no way representative of a typical case. Nor is it typical of the challenges or co-morbidities that patients must face. I have taken the extreme presentations of the illness and used it to write something for entertainment purposes only. I have not meant to offend anyone in any way. Please PM/email me if you’d like to discuss anything further.

I know this is a bit of a long shot, but is there anyone out there who would be willing to look over a dean/cas mini!bigbang fic that I'm doing? It's 12k at this point and it's a Pushing Daisies/SPN fusion-ish fic (no PD characters, just SPN ones).

At this point it's not quite ready for a beta read. Mostly what I'm looking for is someone to glance it over and let me know if it's cohesive and whether there's enough progression and growth of the characters and plot. And whether certain scenes are working or not. No rush. I'm finished enough to submit a rough draft, but I'm just not completely satisfied with it and would like someone to bounce ideas off of.

Please PM me or reply with your email!

Thanks!

This Clint is a little different than the one you’ll find in If It Ain’t Broke. I’m having a hell of a time reconciling Comics!Clint and Movieverse!Clint so as a result they take turns showing up as I’m writing. I wrote this fic using comic!Clint background.

Researched from the internet and my own health profession background. Super reliable, I know.

Please note! Only part 1 is posted for now. If you don't like reading WIPs, I should have part 2 done within a week.

... and suddenly I'm writing fic again. My god, it's been a lot of years. And there'll probably be at least one more coming. *facepalms*

Title: If It Ain't Broke
Author: whisp
Summary: Clint blames this solely on R&D. You think they'd remember to make his hearing aids freaking waterproof. Idiots.

Warnings: Language, Non-physical established disability
Disclaimer: Not mine. Please don't sue.

Notes: Written as a fill for a prompt from avengerkink It can be gen or Clint/Coulson depending on which lens you're wearing as you read it.

I started reading fic in junior high, about 14-15 years ago. I can count off the top of my head at least 13 fandoms that I've wandered through over the years.

And in every. single. one. of them I've always headed straight for the slash stuff first. I'll read het but only if I'm desperate (really desperate)

Now suddenly I find myself up at 2am feverishly scouring the internet for Natasha/Clint fic.

Damn you Joss Whedon.
